Is the tour suitable for children?

The tour lasts approximately 3.0–3.5 hours and is designed to be suitable for most people, thanks to its relaxed pace and frequent stops along the way.

Sometimes younger children may be suitable for the group tour, but this depends on individual ability. Children must be at least 10 years old, confident cyclists, and comfortable riding alongside traffic. The management team or tour guide will always make the final decision on whether a child can safely join the group. Adults are responsible for children and their safety at all times during the tour.

For families with younger children eager to discover the sights of London from the saddle of a bicycle, we provide a highly adaptable and stress-free touring experience. We strongly recommend choosing one of our private, custom-designed tours, which are specifically tailored to accommodate participants of all ages and abilities.

Why Choose a Private Family Tour?

Flexibility and Pacing: A private tour allows you to set the pace. We can incorporate more frequent stops for rest, snacks, or playground breaks, ensuring the itinerary remains enjoyable and manageable for younger legs and shorter attention spans. The route can be adjusted on the fly to avoid busy traffic or to focus on specific, child-friendly landmarks like parks, green spaces, or interactive historical sites.

Safety First: Our expert guides are experienced in leading family groups and prioritise safety above all else. They choose the quietest, most scenic routes, utilising designated cycle paths and park trails wherever possible, giving you peace of mind while exploring the capital.

Which is the best bike tour for me?

If it’s your first time in London, we recommend the Classic Gold Tour or the Total E-London Tour to help you see the main highlights. If you’re looking for a mix of history and modern London vibes, the Love London Tour is a great option. For something a little less touristy but still rich in modern history, the Original Bike Tour or the Destination London Tour are both great choices. For something more unique, you can try our Sunset Tour or book a Private Tour, which is especially suitable for families with children under 10

Can I still join if I don’t ride a bike?

If you can’t ride a bike, our guided bike tours unfortunately won’t be suitable, as all guests need to be confident riding in traffic and on public roads in London.  You’re still very welcome to explore London with us by joining one of our walking tours instead.
Our walking tours are a great alternative, offering a relaxed way to discover the city’s landmarks, history, and hidden gems on foot with an expert guide.

Are bikes provided?

Yes, we provide comfortable, well-maintained traditional bicycles for all guests. Our traditional Dutch-style bikes are designed for comfort and easy riding. With an upright seating position, they offer great balance and a relaxed cruising experience. The seats are fully adjustable, making them suitable for riders of different heights, including shorter cyclists.

You can also choose to upgrade to an e-bike for an additional fee, for an even easier and more effortless ride around London.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes, helmets are required. We provide them free of charge for all guests. Wearing a helmet is a condition of our insurance when taking part in a tour in London.
