Who can join the tour?
We welcome school groups of all ages. Routes and commentary are adapted depending on the age group.
How many students can you accommodate?
We can typically host groups of up to 80+ students, split into smaller guided groups for safety and engagement.
What is the student-to-guide ratio?
We aim for approximately: 1 guide per 10–15 students
This ensures safety, supervision, and a better learning experience.
Is it safe for students?
Yes. Our routes are carefully planned using bike-friendly roads and cycle lanes, with safety always a top priority for our guides.
Since 1991, we have safely taken over 100,000 people cycling through London, with only a few minor bumps and scratches along the way. We’re proud of our strong safety record.
Our guides are fully trained and experienced in road safety. While some sections of the tours do take place on public roads, most of the route is through quiet backstreets and dedicated cycle paths.
At the start of every tour, you’ll receive a full safety briefing, and your guide will be on hand throughout to support you and ensure you feel comfortable at all times.
Do students need cycling experience?
Basic cycling ability is required. If you’re unsure about your group’s level, let us know—we can advise or suggest alternatives.
What should students bring?
Clothing suitable for the weather, enclosed footwear, mobile or a camera for taking snaps of London and money for drink/food stops.
Where do tours start and finish?
Our tours start and finish at 74 Kennington Road, London, SE11 6NL (except walking tours). When you arrive, look for our shop front and team members who will be ready to welcome you. The nearest tube stations are Lambeth North and Kennington, both within a short walking distance. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can get you checked in and set up comfortably.
How long is the tour?
Typical school tours last:

We can adjust timing based on your schedule.
What happens in extreme weather conditions?
Tours run in most weather conditions, including light rain. In cases of extreme weather such as storms, heavy snow, or unsafe cycling conditions, we may delay, modify, or cancel a tour for safety reasons. If this happens, we will offer you the option to reschedule or receive a refund where applicable.
Can I leave bags or jackets behind while I take the tour?
This is absolutely fine and you are welcome to leave small bags or jackets with us while you are out on your ride.
If you choose to leave items with us, please note that this is done at your own risk — we will take all reasonable care, but we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
Will there be photo opportunities?
Yes! That’s exactly what our tours are designed for. We stop at key landmarks throughout London so you can take photos, and our guides will explain what you’re seeing along with interesting stories about each location. You’ll also hear insights into modern city life, making it a fun and informative way to experience London.

Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes, helmets are required. We provide them free of charge for all guests. Wearing a helmet is a condition of our insurance when taking part in a tour in London.
